Psychoneuroimmunology
What is psychoneuroimmunology?
Psyconeuroimmunology (PNI) is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and immunology, exploring the intricate connections between the mind, the brain, and the immune system.
What do you do?
I teach an undergrad course on PNI at DIS Abroad in Stockholm - Healthy Minds and Bodies: The Science of Psychoneuroimmunology.
I offer individual psychotherapy with an integrative focus on psychological, somatic, and existential health. One of my main areas of expertise is the mind-body connection and how psychological interventions can have a major impact on physiological processes in the body (i.e., psychoneuroimmunology). I have extensive knowledge of long-term conditions such as fatigue and pain and have worked at a clinic for behavioral medicine at a university hospital.
My work is mainly based on Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a holistic perspective where body awareness, somatics, and relationships as well as societal context and lifestyle factors are an important part.
I am currently not taking any new individual clients, please check back later for updates.
